[DD1] Attack from above
It was another day in the dungeons for Nyx, and she was more than fine with the calm atmosphere of this particular dive. One of her last attempts of exploration had involved fleeing from a swarm of insects, which she would much rather not repeat. She observed her surroundings as she trotted along, taking in her surroundings; The rhythmic dripping of water onto stone, the sounds of creatures scuttling along in the distance. The faint scraping of claws against stone went unheard…
Nyx had continued on with her leisurely pace as she neared a small stream. It had been awhile since she stopped to rest, and the opportunity for a drink was tempting. Taking a quick glance around, noting the absence of danger, she lowered her head to the water. Just as she was about to take her first sip, and weight lads on her back and she stills. What the hell just landed on her back? She can feel its claws sinking into her back and she turns to look at it, but she can’t see it. Where is it?? Even shifting and thrashing her body around refuses to grant her sight of it. “No use in trying to see it,” she thought. Whatever it is hurts, and needs to go. Thrashing around has proved useless thus far, so Nyx did the next best thing, and rolled over. She could feel the creature beneath her as her back hit the stone, hearing the yelp it made as it scrambled away. She turned to get a glance at it as she ran, but it was already gone.
Nyx huffed, all that trouble and she still doesn’t know what attacked her. She turned back to the stream, now she’d have to stay longer to tend to her wounds. At least she was planning on taking a break anyway.
"Something heavy drops from above and attaches itself to your back! You cannot see it no matter how you contort your body, but you can feel it gripping your skin with pointy claws, and you can hear it panting with the effort of clinging to your body. How do you finally cast the horrible thing away?"
