I Knew This Was Bad Idea
The group had decided to forge ahead in an attempt to save the creature making those god-awful, blood curdling screams. Trixie had her doubts but when didn't she? In trepidation, she followed them, taking up the rear.
They were quick with their movements, hoping to end this poor soul's agony as quickly as possible. With every step they took, the nerves built among them and Trixie's sense of dread grew within. Something felt wrong. She didn't dare say anything, though, because she always felt like something was wrong. Nothing about the dungeon ever felt right.
Onwards they marched, making headway down the tunnel. The shouts and cries for help grew louder as they rounded the corner. What stood before them wasn't a tortured courser, howling and writhing in pain. Instead, a hundred angry little coconut-shaped beings were mimicking the sound of a helpless friend. The team were shocked to silence, unable to process what they were seeing.
For a moment, they stared at one another until the little gremlins attacked. They leapt into action, they stumpy little legs surprisingly fast. Out of nowhere, they produced weapons, ready to cut them down. Trixie ducked, hiding behind her teammates in fear as they sprung into action to defend themselves.
The battle commenced and Trixie looked around her at the brave coursers trying to save themselves and each other. She wasn't like them. So, instead, she ran. She turned her ass around and ran away because if she couldn't save them, she might as well save herself.
