The sound of his hoofsteps is what his mind could focus on while continuing the dive into the dungeon.

This was Banjo’s first run and seems to be going smoothly for him, so far. Able to keep a relaxed mind as he ignored the sounds of monsters in the distance. His brown eyes searched the area, looking for anything that piques his interest. Hoping to go home with something, anything to be honest at this point. 

Soon, in the distance, he picked up on the sight of discarded Courser barding. Slowly coming up to the items, giving the air a sniff. Lowering his head to let his nose smell the ground. Attempting to see how long the barding been here. As he was looking over the items strewn about the area, something else caught his eye.  It was a glint of something shiny by the looks of it from where he stood. Tilting his head curiously, taking a step closer. As he neared where he spotted the glint, Banjo’s eyes widen at the sight. They were nothing he’s never seen before up close!

 Horned beetles with various gemstones fused to their chitin armor, engaging in combat against one another. 

Banjo was enamored by the sight. They were the prettiest bugs he's seen, to his recent memory, and there were so many! He counted around a dozen or so of them gathered around. Maybe more if the stallion was lucky!

“I wonder if I can take a few…” The stallion whispered to himself. They could be worth something or maybe to keep and have a pretty companion. Watching the jeweled beetles battle each other. Seeing how the large horns clash and when one beetle is able to flick its opponent away to earn its victory. He was absorbed with watching the beetles before one suddenly opened its wings and flew into his face. 

Banjo let out a startled scream as the bug got near his face. Rearing up slightly then backing away. Shaking his face vigorously to shake away the feeling of the beetle touching his muzzle. During the commotion of him making lots of noise now, all the bugs have left the area.

Once the stallion calmed himself, he looked back to where they were before. Disappointed that they left. Now leaving him with just the discarded barding to search for anything valuable. 

“Aww, shucks,” Banjo let out a breath. Now feeling mad at himself for getting so spooked over a bug. He looked over the area once more, then spotted one. He quickly stepped over and attempted to reach for it. Wanting to take at least one home.
