Eurydice's tragic tale begins at the end.
With her love into the dungeon they did descend,
In a way, it was intended to be a date.
If not for the magic pit, it might have gone great...

The magic reached for that unfortunate girl,
She felt an urge to jump in, and her head did swirl.
Her love could have stopped her, if he stepped in the way,
She may have lived, if he had not left her to stray.

Her body rested in pit to simply decay.
While her former love went on to live each bright day.
But as was said, this was not the simply the end,
Her soul it stayed, and 'twas revenge she did intend.

But how could she manage such while intangible...
Her memories did fray, her knowledge frangible.
Time passed, though she did not know exactly how much
How could she when there was not a world she could touch?

Oneiros the Slumbering, the undead devil,
He found her when he went to the upper level.
Though she was a faded spirit at current time,
He thought letting her fully fade would be a crime.

"My dear, I could make for your soul a new body,
A talent for crafting forms, my work isn't shoddy,
If you simply give me your name, I can create,"
He told Eurydice who was still full of hate.

"If you would so allow me to have my revenge,
I would desire to my life on past love avenge,"
She informed, her soul's voice rather softly quiet,
Yet it was clear her state was of great disquiet.

She could not raise her voice, faded she had become.
"If you can do that, I'd work under your thumb,"
She stated, her tightly held wrath burning so hot
That she would do whatever to get what she sought.

The idea of service did not have appeal,
But she would do what it took to become real.
Oneiros could tell that, and he smirked at her
"You are welcome to revenge, whomever they were,"

He told the ghost, and using her bones and her soul
Oneiros constructed a new body, all whole,
Did forbidden necromantic acts in good faith
And thus began Eurydice's life as a wraith.
