[DD1] a brazen first pass | Freidor
He gallops, as a horse would. He swings his tail, as a horse would. He kicks it off with the smite and confidence that he had yet to see reflected on another horse. A gallant through and through surely some would note. But this is Freidor’s demeanor when he is stressed. Despite his bold moves and quick to anger predisposition, he is usually a much calmer horse, and he knows how to keep his head cool and concentrated in the game, ready for any encounters. But this time something is on this horse’s mind. His first expedition. He doesn’t do it by choice, but it excites him, nonetheless. Not much further in the dungeon and there it was. His first obstacle, what looked like a hole in the cavern opening. Much more than a hole he’d noticed. What looked like jarring teeth crooking through the opening. Waiting to snap him out of it all. He lowered his snout, keeping his neck as erged as possible. He’d assumed a challenger poise. If it wants to come at me, at me it shall come. ‘Nothing a good kick or two won’t do.’ he let out before charging at it headfirst. Each gallop zooming his vision, somewhat already distorted by his hot blood tunning through with the adrenaline. And with firm front legs and a swing of the whole body he kicked the rocks. The sound making a loud enough thud to echo through maybe the next few levels and the impact strong enough to break a piece off. ‘Way to make a mark for yourself out here.’ A sound from behind him emerged but submerged as soon as he took a turn back to see. ‘Hmf.’ With a displeased hum he pawed at the ground and through it he went. Making sure to glare at the jagged, almost organic, like teeth. His hoof pawed at the ground inside, the sharp clack of it echoing off the stone walls. The sound felt too loud in the stillness. Uncomfortable. Nothing but a dark pit. Emptiness. He came out of the mouth, once again glaring at the teeth with the face directed straight back. A clear sign of a young mind. But let that not distract you of the growing burning potential inside him. And as he signs off to another corridor his ear reacts to a glint of a spark behind him. ‘Hm.’ He brushes it off.
