[EASY] A Visit to The Two Faces
Euele stomped into the room with the faces, ears pinned hard to her head.
The others followed almost meekly, the interaction with Jonas very, very fresh in their minds. After coming upon Jonas and his little group going through all their stuff, she had thoroughly trounced him, and between Hawkes and her, they'd send the rest of the group (except for The Apothecary) running with their tails between their legs. They'd even managed to get their stuff back from the mimic, who had projectile shot it at them as it fled. It seemed the wrath of Euele had been something strong enough to inspire a grave fear in Jonas and his pet. Which was well deserved based on the tale she and Hawkes had told as they'd cleaned up camp.
Leiken slowed down, clearing his throat as he paused in the room. "Hold on a moment, we need to come up with a game plan-"
"We know which one to go through, let's just get through it." Euele scowled up at the faces, making Leiken wonder at the fact they didn't feel her glare and shut up.
Solace frowned. "We need to take a moment to plan..."
Euele's eyebrows raised slightly as she turned her fury on xem. "None of us will be able to think with that ceaseless rambling, Solace. It will simply be much, much better for all of us if we just march through the door and onto whatever it is that lays before us."
Hawkes and Solace exchanged glances, and Leiken shifted. Hawkes cleared their throat then spoke, stepping forwards as they did so. "Okay... I know we've been through here before, but do you actually remember which door it is that we passed through?" They blinked. "Last few times we haven't really thought about it and just... rushed through to try and get our stuff back before another group was able to get it."
The anger in Euele's silver eyes flared, then simmered, then stopped. She heaved a sigh and let her head drop, Acherna actually daring to poke her nose out now that her courser friend wasn't as furiously angry. "I suppose you're right. I don't really remember right now, either." She shook herself, then brushed her muzzle across Acherna's head as an apology. Que came trotting up as well, begging for the same attention as Leiken was quickly distracted by the doors. "It was Leiken who pointed us the right way in the first place. Do you remember why you chose it?"
Leiken frowned. "Not entirely. I know Que didn't shy away from it." His ears perked, face lighting up as an idea popped into his head. "We could just follow her again!" The others stared as Leiken called Que over. "Que, lead on." She barked and trotted through the door on the right, her excited snuffling echoing in the room that lay beyond.
Hawkes lowered their head and followed her through, the others following them with a quiet chuckle.
You encounter a fork in the dungeon marked by two doorways. Above one, a face in the rock smiles. Above the other, a face frowns. Both begin to speak, and in their craggy voices try to convince you to go through the door beneath them.
The group continues on after their run in with Jonas and his crew. Euele leads the way back into the dungeon where they once again encounter the two rocky faces. Everyone is still a bit frazzled by what happened with the thieves and have to try and remember which way they'd gone before.
