After an exhausting descent, your party reaches what seems to be a dead end. A seamless wall blocks your path, but walking across the engraved tiles before it produces the sound of an ancient unseen mechanism rumbling to life. Perhaps the artwork on the floor is the key…

Auryn trotted forward; with Ace on her back, she wasn’t as scared to run into something. Someone brushed softly against her. “Does it feel cold to you, or is it just me?” Lucky asked. Auryn didn’t realize it until that moment, but she did feel cold. “Yeah, it is getting quite cold.” She replied. “Maybe it’s because we are heading down.” Victor said sarcastically. “That doesn’t even make sense.” Lucky growled back. “Guys.” Auryn said sternly. Victor rolled his eyes while Lucky ignored him. 

Their descent was long, and extremely tiring. Auryn’s legs trembled as the group searched the dead end. “You’ve got to be kidding me.” Victor huffed. “Screw you!” Slate, a temporary member of the group, hissed as he reared up and kicked the wall. As he fell back to the ground, he stumbled back, accidentally triggering a musical sound. The entire group paused, expecting to be decapitated. When nothing happened, Dobby, Victor’s servant, hovered over to Slate. “Slate I swear to god, if you kill us, I’ll make sure to haunt you for all of eternity.” Victor threatened. “How will you haunt me if I’m dead?” Slate question. “I swear to god.” Victor scathed and began walking over. “Victor. Don’t kill Slate, or us for god’s sake.” Auryn warned. Victor huffed, but didn’t take another step to Slate.

Lucky accidentally stepped on another odd tile. This time, instead of music, a soft mechanical hum. Auryn tried to walk a little closer to Lucky, and stepped on yet another one of these odd tiles. This one made no noise though, a small piece of art, some kind of mosaic covered part of the floor. The entire group studied the art piece. With green colored vines, brown colored trees, and pink skies, the group was unsure of what clarity this would provide.

Slate jumped on the mosaic, shattering it into tiny bitty pieces. “Oh my fucking god.” Victor cried as he watched their only hope of getting treasure go down in pieces. “What the fuck!” Lucky hissed. “What happened?” Auryn said in fear of hearing glass shatter. “Slate. Slate. Slate broke the mosaic.” Lucky stammered. Auryn sighed. “You really don’t think do you?” Lucky said, his words piercing Slate. Victor lunged himself at Slate, biting one of his ears. “The moment we get out of this dungeon I’m going to kill you.” Victor whispered into his ear, and walked over to Auryn. “What in the living fuck are we supposed to do now?” Victor said angrily while pawing his hoof into the stoney floor…
