[EASY] Good Grief A SkeleTON Of Bones
The small herd of Coursers and companions were going at varying levels of a slight jog through these deeper labyrinth of much more valuable but dangerous perils for them to encounter. This time, they had gone up in size by one in the form of Scarlett and her firey magic as well as cooking capabilities to keep them all going with food and warmth. And she was a great vibe, having such a cool demeanour for such a firey looking mare. Czar & his cat Daniel were naturally drawn to picking up shiny baubles for selling later and Winona was the muscle providing both protection and deterring small dungeon beasts from having any ideas of attacking them.
It had been a few hours of dungeoning and excursioning together, having no real luck so far but no danger so far either. The dullness would cease as Czar ran ahead out of sight as he saw something big and shiny, followed by a crash. Winona would quickly chase after him to see what he had just did, Scarlett trotting close behind. What the mares were met with was a great big draconic skeleton before them in a vast cavern, the sight of Czar's little legs flailing after falling over a giant skeletal limb from not looking before charging straight into the chamber. Winona would just use her teeth to gently pick him up by the back of his neck with a sigh to get the little Courser upright & on his hooves once more, where he would then shake off the dust from the ground.
"Hm, a perplexing and new obstacle we have encountered. I had no idea such a being this large is...well, was a real creature." Scarlett said aloud as she peered around the room to take in the sheer size of the yellowed, ancient bones before them all. They couldn't all help but pause to take in just how...impossibly gigantic the skeletal being was.
"Who knew such big things could be down here in the dungeons?" Czar exclaimed aloud, little hooves prancing around in the amazement of finding something that felt so impossibly huge. Winona was quick to notice the shining glint of metal in the cracked forehead of the draconic skull, the roan giant using some raised rocky formations to get up closer to the yellowed skull before her little herd. Upon closer inspection she could see that it was quite the decently sized blade that had most definitely been the fatal blow to the great beast. The blade was nearly the size of Czar, a blade for the strongest of warriors. And Winona was eyeing it up with starry eyes, seeing only but a great tool to protect her herd. Plus if she could pull it down it would give the added bonus of opening the way forward to potentially even better treasures.
"Oh no, you're planning on trying to break it through, aren't you Winnie?" Scarlett said with a calm but subtle joking tone as the Heraldic one peered down at Scarlett and Czar to mutely ask for their assistance. Welp, they were really doing this as Scarlett would pull out a lasso that was for some occasions but they never thought it would be for the occasion of attempting to yank a great big blade through the skull of a draconic being. Scarlett tossed up the noose end of the lasso to Winona's osprey Skylar to fly it up to the handle of the stuck blade.
With assistance from Skylar to get the lasso tightly around the handle, Winona got down from her perch to get back to ground level to help pull on the end of the lasso rope along with Czar & Scarlett. They had a good feeling they could get it to break through the skull to slice the way through to the deeper dungeons with three Coursers and two pet companions pulling. Hooves, paws and talons crossed it works...
- A crumpled skeleton fills this chamber, bones still loosely arranged in the shape of a great and alien being. Its enormous skull blocks your advance. As you seek a way through, the glint of metal catches your eye; a blade is wedged into the fatal split in the skull’s brow. Perhaps if you could finish what it started…
