The party had called it quits after a few very successful rooms and a good few loot hauls, opting to take a few days to rest away from the dungeons and regain their strength. The R&R had certainly been needed. Now, they were refreshed - bright eyed and bushy tailed, ready to take on anything. Pandora could practically feel herself vibrating as she paced just outside the dungeons entrance, the air nearly electrified with the energy she was giving off.

The moment Rattler's pale, gleaming coat emerged from the tents the puck surged forward, descending into the tunnels. Pandora disappeared into the depths, leaving a bemused Rattler standing with Corvus and Gambit who were hopefully used to this kind of behavior by now. Even during their 'resting' time, Pan had gone into the dungeons daily. Occasionally with something, sometimes with nothing, often with loot - but it seemed to be a sort of self soothing mechanism. Things were getting better as they worked out their kinks, but Corvus still occasionally got under the pucks skin and Pandora had never been great with confrontation.

Pandora thought better in the depths, something Rattler wasn't sure she understood. "After you," Rattler finally said, flicking an ear towards Corvus and Gambit. She'd grown used to them taking the lead, as she figured she wasn't really good leadership material anyways. She got lost a lot.

Honestly, Corvus could hardly believe she'd stuck around with this party for as long as she had. The last few days on and off in the dungeons had been... entertaining, to say the least. She'd likely never admit it aloud, but it might've actually been... the most fun she'd ever had on a dive. The Crow didn't even think that was possible.

Of course, it would all go south eventually. She still held on to every intention of claiming all of their treasure for herself and ditching them. Entertaining or not, they were a means to an end, simple as that. Surely, nothing could change her mind! She had a good feeling about today's venture, and her other party members all seemed to be in relatively decent moods, which helped. To no one's surprise, Pandora dove into the dungeon almost as soon as the party was done with their preparations, forcing Corvus, Gambit, and Rattler to rush in hurriedly afterwards, lest they get too far apart.

They caught up with the puck just in time to enter what seemed to be the first large, open room, and immediately, Corvus braced herself for something. If there was anything the dungeons had taught her -- especially over the last few days -- it was that large, open rooms were not to be trusted. And, sure enough, just as the thought had crossed her mind, there was a rumbling behind them, and she whipped her head around in time to watch a large rock roll in place of the entrance they'd just passed through. The only possible path was on the far end of the chamber, still unobstructed, and then a low hissing sound filled the air, and the room around them began to turn a sickly green. The moment she inhaled, her throat and chest burned and her eyes began to water. She turned to Gambit, who seemed to be struggling, too, the veins in his face extra defined with the effort of trying to resist the effects. He caught her gaze and furrowed his brow. "Hold your breath," he croaked, trying to talk without breathing, and as her lungs burned and pleaded for clean air, Corvus couldn't help thinking that was a lot easier said than done.
