You enter a cavern lined with glowing fungi. Each one you touch emits a different pitch. If you play them in a certain order, a stone rolls away from the wall, revealing the way forward. How do you figure out the puzzle? What music will you make?

Red, blue, green, and yellow. Vivid colours from glowing mushroom lights adorn each corner of the cavern walls. Hanging vines with giant flowers dropping from ceilings, its colourful spores integrating to the swamp flowers in the lush forest cave.

Honey bread skips and hops from one small puddle to another, leaving her hoof marks in the muddy clay. She hums to a tune as she follows along the small river filled with glittering salamanders and small fishes.

“Toads eyes~ and newts tails! A potion to turn your bones frail!”

She sings of the types of ingredients and materials needed for the different potions that she’s being taught to make. Her little drake companion sings along with her with his warbles and growls, attempting to match the tune to hers.

Her skipping stops when she reaches the end of the cavern with no more pathways in sight. On the walls were coloured crystals; red, blue, green and yellow. While crystals were prevalent on the walls in the cavern, these crystals were oddly placed in the shape of a diamond and their own stature was much larger than the others.

“Well, this is a predicament we’re in,” she huffed. “How are we supposed to bring Mr Kingston his cave moss!”

Cheese Sticks tilt his little drake head and sit on her back. He pats the side of her neck and warbles incoherently.

“You’re right, Cheese Sticks! There must be a clue to this cavernous mystery…”

Determined to figure out the cavern’s puzzle, she searched high and low around the cavern. Honey Bread splashed around in the puddles, she gently nudged every swamp flower, she even tried chewing on a mushroom if Cheese Stick didn’t try to stop her from eating one.

Honey Bread slumps down with a sad frown. “Hmmm… Looks like this might be a bust, lil buddy…” she said defeatedly.

Cheese Stick flew around aimlessly, looking for something to cheer up his horse friend. As he flew he accidentally bumped onto one of the colourful mushrooms.

The mushroom lit up red and made a humming tune. The crystal on the wall lights up, glowing red. It hums in a similar manner and then fades away. A few ticks passed and it lit up again, but this time, the blue crystal followed suit.

In a moment of discovery, they gasped in excitement.

“I’ve got it!”

She hopped back on her hooves and started looking for the coloured mushrooms. In order, she nudged the red mushroom and then the blue. Just as she did so, the crystal hummed consecutively, in the same order that she pushed the mushrooms in.

A long game of Simon Neighs was the answer to the puzzle after all!

After a good 5 to 6 sequence of mushroom memory, the crystal on the wall breaks and the cavern wall begins to crumble. Inside the nook of the broken wall was a bundle of high quality cave moss, almost glistening in the light.

Honey Bread squealed in excitement.

“Oh boy, oh boy, oh BOY!” She jumped with joy, “Mr Kingston is going to LOVE this!!”

Hurriedly, she collected the moss, making sure not to break any of it lest it loses its crafting quality.

“Mr Kingston is going to be so proud of me for getting these materials for him.”
