“Frisk, what the fuck?”

Eyes still bleary from a restless sleep, Smudge squinted at the roan over the newly brilliant shine of his saddlebags. It wasn’t until her hoof kicked back and she muttered something soft that he realized she was still asleep. He looked towards Prosper before dismissing the idea outright, instead grumbling something to himself as he rocked to his feet to inspect the damage that had been done to his belongings.

Somehow it seemed only his belongings were now sporting a shine he had never seen before. Maybe with enough smarm he might convince the ranger it was worth something, but the idea lost its appeal as quickly as it had come. No one could assume this tacky decoration was worse anything.

Something buzzed from inside his satchel, and Smudge could not refrain his instinct to stomp at it.

The pixie, illuminated by some strange algae coating its skin, seemed to jingle as it shook what Smudge assumed to be its fist at him. In the other, it held the offending gems.

“You.”

Three more of them tumbled out of his bags, holding onto a pair of mushrooms meant to be part of tonight’s dinner, now entirely inedible due it’s coating of bioluminescent goo to which sparkling rhinestones were attached.

“Go away,” he snorted, lowering his blocky head towards them, his hoof scraping against the stone. The Pixie’s chattered in a language he could not understand, more bell-like than anything he had ever heard with a series of high pitch warbles and chitters. They nodded solemnly to each other, smearing his forehead before each placing a gem and disappearing into the ether.

No matter how hard he tossed his heads, the gems remained cemented where they had been lovingly placed.

They would remain for the entire rest of their dive, and would not be removed until a 7 moonrises, by a humanoid who could not suppress her giggles.
