It wasn’t too much longer after his little brush with the spikes and the broken pit that Bowie had taken another journey down a similar path, sure that the little scrapes on his hide would be utterly fine. He wasn’t even in pain, just perhaps a little more cautious as to where he wanders and walks. For the most part.

That, of course, doesn’t count for things above the floor, or in this case, hip height. 

Within moments of turning into a new hallway, Bowie’s generous rump slams into a small bush that seems to have been the main home for a large family of bugs. Within seconds of the fateful booty bash, Bowie’s face is covered in a thick layer of buzzing cave bugs. The things swarm into his ears and nostrils, buzzing about loudly enough to startle him into another one of his squealing yelps.

Of course, this opens his mouth, and he inhales a good portion of the things. In this instance, it is chew or suffocate on the multitude of tiny bodies jamming themselves into his gaping maw with tiny buggy vengeance.

In truth, if Bowie is anything, he is unwilling to die in the stupidest manner possible, and chomps down on the disgusting little things, spluttering violently at the acrid taste of chitin and goo that fills his mouth. Shaking his head violently, he sends bug juice flying through the air with each movement, gagging before trying his best to try and escape from their annoying attack.

Staggering a few steps from the bush, he hurriedly dips his head down, swiping at his eyes and nose with the inner part of his knees before starting to trot rapidly in the direction he’d been headed in. He stomps, half rears and shakes himself from muzzle to tail before speedily making his way away from his attackers, shedding bugs as he goes.

“Bleeeeeech! Blepftftftftfssssh! Augh! What did I ever do to you?” He shrieks at the bugs, still drooling and spitting bug guts as he runs. He has so many things to learn, and so far he’s made two big mistakes. Maybe he should go with someone the next time? Probably for the best. Maybe he’d get into less trouble.
