[DD1] cadwgan and the chest
There, gleaming,
a hole
for a key
or
hinges that he could break with
one swift kick,
hooves meeting metal long left
parched
brittle
as the bones left growing
moss.
Who
in their right mind
in their mind that
got them this far
into blooming bellies
into yawning mouths
thick with ivy
would see those bones and
still think of treasure?
He does.
Split seconds of gold and
living up to
those who came before and
proving himself worthy of a
name
a crest
and surely,
with so many skulls
others thought of gold
a little longer.
You come upon a chamber with a crack in its ceiling. A mossy pedestal is illuminated by moonlight, a gorgeous chest resting on it for the taking. However, surrounding the pedestal is a gruesome sight: piles of bleached Courser bones. Do you heed the warning or attempt to take the treasure?
- Cadwgan thinks better of it. Barely.
