After a pretty eventful morning getting chased away from a tunnel by imps, Mac, Car and Leaf were making a slow and sluggish journey back to their camp. During their time out, they had managed to acquire a variety of metals and gems they had been seeking - all of which would be extremely helpful in their crafting for weapons. The trio often had success when they went out in a group and it was comforting to know there were multiple of them incase of events such as what happened earlier - Mac knew he wouldn’t of been able to deal with that by himself. 

“Come on Mac, catch up with us! I know we were going back slowly but not a snails pace.” Car pestered him playfully, looking back at him still a distance away from the other two.

“Hold on, I’ve just spotted something out of the corner of my eye.” Mac replied, stopping in his tracks and poking his head around a corner. 

“Not like we haven’t been out all day, hey Mac.” Leaf uttered under his breath.

Leaf and Car went back on themselves and joined him, only to be met with Mac standing in a wide open space. It would have looked like ruins to others, but due to the amount of books, broken lamps and chairs dotted about the place, it was clear to them that this was once inhabited by a sorcerer. It hadn’t been used in possibly hundreds of years. The shelves had collapsed, there were a selection of cobwebs and everything was coated in a thick layer of dust that was sure to do some damage to Leafs throat if he were to breathe in too much. 

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many books in my life, how does someone manage to read every single one of them?” Leaf questioned, just utterly gobsmacked by the amount. 

“You could use one or two of these I think, Mac.” Car chuckled out, leaning forward to grab one of the nearest books to her. 

Before Car could even think, the book she was aiming for, moved off of the shelf and into the air. Within a few more seconds a variety of other books joined it, fluttering their pages at the coursers below them. Once they all started spewing an unrecognisable language, the group knew it was their sign to leave. The books started sweeping down to attack them and pinch at their face. Mac was the first to run out of the area - he already felt blind some days, the the last thing he needed was a paper cut on his eye to add to that. Leaf was the last in the group to leave, he just kept whacking them out of the way with his tail - this came in handy on days like today. 

“Mac, for the love of god please bringing us to new places. Car, stop touching everything!!” Leaf yelled to them once they were safely out of the area and away from the violent pages.
