The Company treats dungeoneering as a strictly profit seeking venture... something Lucia isn't really on board with. There's something so lovely about walking the halls, learning what she can about the depths. Charting and mapping the halls, as they twisted and turned. Exploring them, meeting the different flora and fauna. As long as you respect the dungeon, it should respect you back. It's what Lucia was taught by her mentor, and it's what she'll continue to live by. Mother's decree be damned, she's going to do what she can to make the dungeon a better place for everyone, adventurer or resident.

Sure, not all of the creatures that lurked within were happy to see her. With a shudder, Lucia thought about the imps she'd encountered just days before. They were chiding, picking into her in a most upsetting way. Their insults stung, even if Lucia knows they can't know her well enough to truly hurt her. Still, some of their words had been pretty spot on. More than pretty spot on. They'd been direct hits, and her already fragile confidence was on shakier ground today. Lucia was trying to convince herself that she's resilient. It's getting a little harder as time goes on.

She nearly trips on the salamander. The sad little creature drying up on the ground, too far from the lava pools it calls home. "Oh dear, oh you look rough." Lucia's brow furrowed as she stepped forward, carefully padding up beside the drying beast. "Come here, I've got you." The words soft, tittering over the shriveling salamander. "I'll get you back home, okay? Just hold on little guy." Murmuring to herself as she picks up the reptile, gently cupping it in her hands. Moving quickly, she rushes to the edge of the lava and places the salamander into the most shallow portion.

Lucia sits beside the pool for a long moment, waiting for the creature to shudder back to life. It takes a little longer than she'd like, but after a few moments, the salamander seems to rehydrate. Slipping away into the lava with no more than a sleepy glance, and she's happy to see it. Respect the dungeon and it will respect you back.
