The travels through the first level of the dungeon aren’t hard. At least not to Prayer. It had seen many things as a foal. It has experienced, well, many bad things. So the first level of the dungeon is very much akin to a nice walk during a summer day. 

Everything is green and overgrown. Sometimes it needs to go through the bushes. Sometimes things get dark. But it’s not like it’s unprepared, oh no. It has a bag full of many different trinkets. And it has torches. 

But when a sentient slime comes out of the bushes torching it isn’t in Prayer’s mind. 

“...hello?” says Prayer as the slime approaches. 

The slime blinks. Its big round eye is as green as its whole body. 

“Do you… Need something?” 

No answer. Just more blinking. 

Prayer looks at the snack it was eating. It's just some herbs it brought from outside the dungeon, to remember that the world is bigger than this place. Prayer looks at the slime. Then it sticks some of the herbs into the slime. 

The slime makes a noise. Prayer assumes it's a happy noise. At least it’s not a threatening noise. And… Somehow the slime smiles. With its eye. 

“That’s slightly weird…” Prayer murmurs. 

But in the end Prayer doesn’t mind. And the slime keeps hanging around it for a while, scaring away other monsters so that’s some sort of a profit.
