[DD2] I don't know where I have been

They stumbled free of the Moor a while later, and wound their way up through the furnace. They had traded off, and Rake was at the front, while Fetch walked with Corrode leaning his weight on them.

Foxglove, who had recovered quicker and far better than Corrode had, walked to one side of them, with only a vague limp to their step. They weren't particularly at full strength, but they could walk. There was the matter of the amnesia, but... physically, they were far better off than Corrode.

Rake stopped, backing up. Corrode forced himself to pay attention, jerking his head up.

"Whas-... What's the issue? R-rake?" He forced his eyes to focus, the landscape ahead slowly clearing into view.

"We have to backtrack, it's - just this fucking door, it's a mouth, I don't like the look of it. We're going back." Rake said, turning round. Corrode's vision finally slid into focus.

"Wait. I know this way. We can get to... the next level, up, we can get there quicker." Corrode croaked. Fetch's brow furrowed, and she spoke next.

"I think he's right - I've seen mentioned of it on old faded maps at the guild, it's all... but there's a way."

Rake looked unsure.

"...It's not more dangerous is it?"

"N-... No. Collapse showed it to me, it's- it's good." Murmured Corrode.

Rake stiffened, just a fraction, but shook it off. "Alright, alright. We'll go through. I trust Cor."

Fetched nodded, and Corrode let his head fall against her shoulder again.

Foxglove had said nothing all the while, but emerged from a bush eating a mouthful of berries, and swallowing. Rake opened his mouth to suggest they not, but then closed it. They'd have felt the heat by now, and clearly they didn't care. Sparse settled back on Rake's neck, and he straightened himself and pushed forward.

Onwards they went.

"You come upon a giant face in the wall. Its eyes glow red hot and its mouth gapes in an eternal shout of rage. You realize that this mouth is actually a door, and it appears to be your only way forward. What do you do?"
