Restless from lack of sleep, tried not to scowl as Terrence once again shouldered himself ahead of her. It was always just on the edge of no longer being polite. Terrence did not shove, but he certainly did not allow much room when he chose to step to the forefront.

Honestly, for once Illene had no desire to do anything other than let him. He could lead the way out of the moor, that was why she was paying him to attend this contract anyway, for his expertise. Expertise that she would one day have all on her own. She'd been the one bringing Coursers down here, and not chewing their ear off with stories they'd heard since they were foals.

"Hrm," Terrence had paused, and Illene nearly ran into the back of him. She snorted her annoyance, shaking her head, as she came around to look at what had taken his attention.

"What is it, Ter?" Illene asked, trying to see around the hoof that he had pointed outward, prodding at something stuck in the moor.

"Does that look familiar to you?" He asked quietly, finally shifting aside so that she could see... huh.

"That's... my family's crest."

Marshal barked, just the once, a premonition for what was about to occur.
