The chestnut equine Caramel began to wander towards the entrance of its first dungeon in its existence and the excitement began to turn into anxiety. The anxiety started to swell as the smell began to change even before entering the cavern. The only thing that caught this courser's attention more than the new smell of decay was the dim light emitting from the fungus that had been creating the odd odor. 

Caramel finally decided to brave its way into the dimly lit cavern swallowing its worries and replacing it with false bravado. With each step the sounds of the foliage being crushed underneath its hooves seemed to become louder and louder. That was until the first step into the cave where the sound was replaced by the sound of stone being echoed throughout the cave. 

The anxiousness had returned with a vengeance as Caramel stopped to listen for anything farther up in the cave. Normally it would have been running worry free through a field so it was rare for it to be worried and so focused on something that might not even be in the area. That was when it happened! Something cold had fallen onto its back and made it slam into one fungi after the other frightening it even further. 

Finally Caramel had calmed down when it had realized it was just a drop of water that quietly fell from one of the many stalactites. To Caramel’s surprise what had broken the fear was the odd sound emitted from the fungi. Each fungi it had touched had almost seemed to quell the anxiety and fear that had consumed it due to the beautiful sounds they were expelling instead of spores. For something that had such an odor, and in such an ominous place it was music to its ears. 

It was as if something was calling it to press them in a precise order. As it began to touch them with its snout in an almost hypnotic state. It turned into a beautiful symphony that echoed through the cave. Just when it seemed like it had taken control of Caramel and wouldn’t let it go, the sound of stone transferring aggressively out of its way snapped it out of the snare the fungi had snagged it in. Without realizing it Caramel had opened a path and created a symphony one would never expect a courser to create with a fungus in a dungeon.
