As the reckless duo landed in a horridly dusty room after their dive through the hole, Solas got up on his feet and Robert quickly followed suit and flew his way up to the courser's fluffy, golden bum. The odd pair scouted the area, they had no idea where they had ended up or how to possibly get out, which was rather inconvenient, but Solas didn't really mind and just shrugged. However, he couldn't help but tense up and feel like his lungs were being squeezed. Every breath felt like a burden, not only from the dry and dusty air, but also from the suppressed fear of never finding a way out. He swallowed hard, attempting to further suppress his fear, before starting to move forward. 

As Solas marched on through the cramped corridors, he started to shudder. There was this creepy, murmuring, almost buzzing sound coming from within the walls. It made his skin crawl, but curiosity got the better of him, so with his long ear pressed against the wall, he tried locating the origin of the buzzing and crawling noise. Robert sat quietly on his butt, just staring intently at the wall, as if it was going to manifest an opening. 

Eventually, Solas found a small crack, where a lot of noise could be heard. This was promising. Without a second thought or thinking about what could happen, Solas scraped against the crack. For a second, there was complete, eerie silence, and time almost felt paused. Solas froze in place, he could hear and feel his own heartbeat all the way to the tips of his ears. Instant regret. Panic started to encumber him, but before he could even move a muscle, a massive swarm of bugs emerged from the crack. He could almost feel his soul leave his body as the deafening noise and panic set in, but rather than run away, the fluffy courser simply passed out. 

Robert flapped his wings to get the bugs out of his face and then proceeded to sit on Solas’ cheek, waiting for him to regain consciousness. But waiting wasn't Roberts strongest suit, so he let out a honk before falling asleep on the fluffy cheek of his companion.
