About his shoulders, Collapse wore a draping cloak that pushed out a cool temperature into the air around him. Collapse hadn't yet broken a sweat, unlike Terrence ahead, and Whetstone behind him to one side. By this time, Whetstone was half soaked, grey and red coat a darker color, panting audible enough for Collapse to hear it - lagging a bit behind, under their supplies. Lapse paid it no mind, simply shouldering his own half shattered greatsword, and slipping up to take the lead next to Terrence.

"... What all are you looking for, then-?" Terrence broached, pushing himself up to Lapse, to leech some of the cool air about him. Whetstone had clearly seen this, because soon they were pressed in close to Lapse's heels, and he gritted his teeth but said nothing to the small courser.

"I'll know it when I see it. It is hard to describe." Collapse replied, voice deep, resonate, almost... silky. It was unnerving if you paid too much attention to it, so it was a fair good thing Terrence was paying mind to his words instead.

"... Alright. Well. If you think of how to describe it, that would be helpful. So I can help you, yeah?"

Lapse smiled at him ... serenely? and kept on walking. Terrence's muzzle crinkled. He disliked how obtuse this man was, but - what could you do.

A while later, Terrence managed to talk Collapse into halting for a time - for the sake of mainly Whetstone, who if a living thing could look half-melted, was managing it. Tucked under shade and monitored by Terrence to drink water a while, Whetstone would be fine. Lapse had known he would be fine of course - they just needed to trust him.

It was a shame they weren't quite there yet, he mused.
