The golden, crowned puck was calmly trotting on in the moist caverns and with a deep breath he filled his lungs with the murky smell of damp moss and rock. The ground was full of some unknown, sticky goop that kept squelching under his hard hooves and getting stuck in his fluffy feathering, but Solas couldn't care less, all he really cared about was adventure and exploration after all! 

As his steps echoed and he made his way around yet another corner, his bouncy gait had to come to a halt. A.. Boulder..? That couldn't be right. There was no way for a boulder to just appear in a corridor like this. 

Solas flicked his long ears and fearlessly approached the suspicious roadblock. It had a subtle swirly pattern on it, not very boulder-y at all, in Solas’ professional opinion. Flustered that his path was blocked, he decided to at first carefully ding the gigantic thing to see what happened, but nothing happened. He did notice that it didn't sound solid like a rock would, but it also didn't sound completely hollow. He snorted and stomped angrily on the ground once before turning around and bucking, hitting the thing with a pretty hard impact.

To Solas’ delight, the thing started to shuffle, and out peeked a long, slimy thing. Two eyes popped out and the creature looked down at the golden courser, who intensely glared back at the slimy snail. 

“You're in my way..” Solas complained and once again stomped on the ground in anger, showing that he wasn't at all pleased with this predicament. 

The snail just grumbled and gurgled as a response, but to Solas’ disbelief, it actually started to move out of his way. Did it understand him? He wasn't sure. But as soon as the snail had slid enough to the side for him to pass, he happily did so. He turned back and nodded as a thanks to the gigantic mollusc, and it just blinked back to him, before retracting back into its shell.
