[BOSS] The Lure of the Sarcophagus

Through the passage trotted our adventurers three:

Alexis, Bacchus, and Astra along with pets,

Three were those as well, a hound, osprey, and fire ant.

All wished to have an adventure without regrets.

 

There was a faint trickling in the passage with them,

Down they looked, they saw dark liquid in the floor grooves.

The three and their pets followed it back to the source,

While clicking and clacking were the sound of their hooves.

 

It led to a chamber with a sarcophagus…

Alexis pranced innocently to peer inside.

Within it congealed, this dark liquid of the void.

“Come look,” called Alexis, the puck’s bright eyes all wide.

 

Curiosity began to enthrall their minds,

Unaware of distance pets decided to stay,

As they knew better than to do such an approach.

Bacchus and Astra, those two, they moved to obey.

 

Soon, all three horses beheld the scabbed surface.

Indeed, it was grotesque, that could not be denied,

Yet, was there more to it than what now could be seen?

The very idea of it captured the mind...
