A cracking sound split the air, and Phantasm's ears swiveled, head turning. They clicked their tongue at Crispin, who balked, until his heels grew warmer - and then he trotted after them with more gusto, nervously casting glances behind him.

Crispin was a veteran of the dungeon, but found it's twists and shifting pathways baffling - so Phantasm had been enlisted, promised a hearty share of the loot to be had, and they had accepted readily. Where Crispin's eyes struggled to quickly track a path forward, Phantasm did it with ease, and zero hesitation - save to check on his 'charge' behind them.

The earth behind them cracked louder- Crispin bolting forward and nearly careening into Phantasm, and sending them both off the edge. A small, but sharp correcting kick lashed out - pushing him back a good few inches of clearance, Phantasm casting a cool silver glare his way.

"Listen to me and follow my steps, and we won't go off the sides." They said, a touch sharp - and the dungeon veteran nodded his head, looking a touch embarrassed. There was another crack behind them, but Phantasm didn't rush - scanning their head, and then leaping forward - onto a nearby ledge.

Crispin hesitated - before hot magma singed his heels, and he lurched after them, scrambling a bit less elegantly up the ledge.

"If you said anything at all-"

"I've been saying plenty, you just need to open your ears wider it seems." Phantasm snapped, and Crispins ears went back - but when they moved forward again, he didn't hesitate to follow their steps precisely.
