It was another cold and somewhat damp adventure into the dungeons on the schedule for Strohmeier. The dark courser shuddered and twitched as some cold droplets occasionally fell down onto his strong back from the moist, dripping ceiling. He really hated the cold, but what choice did he have with adventures calling to him? 

The sounds of his hard hooves echoed in the corridor as he slowly but confidently made his way towards an opening that he had laid his sharp gaze upon. Something about that room just intrigued him, even from a distance. As he got closer, the cold almost seemed to seep away, as if the room was emitting a warm and welcoming aura, and the courser finally felt his muscles relax a bit. 

With curiosity and his ears pressed forward, Strohmeier finally walked through the opening to the room and got a shiver down his spine from what he saw in front of him, as it felt both eerie and fascinating. 

On the wall, an equine skull was beautifully mounted with plenty of valuable and gorgeous decorations. “These would all fetch a pretty price.“, the courser thought to himself. But for some reason he felt obligated to leave it all alone and respect whatever this scene was. It almost looked like a shrine of sorts, and seeing as those were indeed sacred, he didn't want to tamper with the skull. 

While doing his best to avoid a chanfron and all the other scattered gear on the dusty floor, he carefully stepped a bit closer to inspect one curious thing adorning the skull that he had never seen before. 

A chanfron harness of sorts, which wasn't unseen, but it had a weird detail that he couldn't put his hoof on what it was for.

“Why would anyone want a piece of metal in their mouth?” he asked himself and licked his palate in discomfort, as he imagined how uncomfortable such a thing must've been.

“What a curious thing.” he muttered as he got ready to move on to search for some loot, but a sudden scrambling noise made him realise he was no longer alone..
