You hear tinkling beside you as a Courser’s chanfron tumbles – no, *scuttles* across the cave floor. Upon further inspection it is being used as a shell by a massive crustacean. How do you react?

Leonhart watched with an equally irked and befuddled expression as the crab skirted just under her hooves. A chanfron as a shell... this creature had no respect for armorsmiths of old. Unlike Leonhart, who respected dead men perhaps too much. It took a moment of staring for her to realize that the crab donned in armor was in fact escaping-- its large but squat form finding a way through the lush foliage of the Overgrown Caverns.

Leonhart would simply NOT stand for a perfectly acceptable piece of craftsmanship to scoot away. She lunged forward. Bone teeth met chitin skin. A cloud of moths took off as Leonhart flung her head back, snaping through small branches, crab in tow. "Relinquish the chanfron, bug!" she mumbled through clenched teeth. Unflappable, the crab coiled and writhed. It managed to grip a claw around Leonhart's sensitive nose. She yelped, and down the crab tumbled into the plush grass below. It laid on its back, belly exposed.

It rocked to right itself, once, twice-- CRUNCH!

Leonhart, eyes watering from pain, had landed a hoof squarely on the crab in her pain-filled twisting. "Damn bug!" her voice bellowed down the corridor. "I'll-- I'll-- oh."

Realizing what happened, and feeling very competent, Leonhart collected her prize.
