Coronet clopped away from the strange smoking toad in its room, and continued on with his journey. Here and there he remarked on the vast variety of plants that forced themselves through the cracks in the wall, the floor, the ceiling. He pondered if their growth forced the cracks wider, and then let even more plants in. It seemed possible. Was it also possible that this journey was like a plant, forcing its way through his soul, seeking out the cracks, making room for something new?

His trip was barely underway, only a single challenge of the dungeon behind him, but he pondered. If he was a seeker, and not a finder, would anything ever bring his journey to an end? How long was it possible to wander the overgrown caverns? There seemed to be a good source of food, and perhaps he could find water. The plants needed something to drink too, he was sure.

He trotted through a rotting archway, and trailing ferns brushed his ears. He flicked them, hoping no bugs fell on him. The call of the unknown drew him onwards. While he hadn't even spent a full day beneath the ground yet, he felt oddly at home. Before his descent all the required rules and restraints of daily life had pulled upon him mercilessly. Here such rules didn't exist. Coronet almost felt as though he could make his own rules.

He flicked his tail and stopped for a moment. Ahead, the path split into two. The left hand path was nearly overgrown with scraggly plants, while on the right the rocks looked chipped and crumbling. He considered. He wasn't experienced yet in making choices down here. Everything was still so new. Coronet drew a deep breath, and proceeded towards the left path. The crumbling rock on the right wasn't reassuring. The plants at least offered some cover, and maybe a snack if he needed it. Onwards, he thought. More things to seek in this place.
