Prompt: The next step you take feels a bit squishy and is immediately followed by a high-pitched ruckus at hoof level. *MIMIMIMI.* You have stepped on a mushroom, and a family of pixies is swearing at you for crushing their beautiful gazebo. Oops!

As soon as Majesty heard the sound she knew she had done something wrong. It was not on purpose nor negligence. A big horse like her could only focus on so much around her and unfortunately the spongy little mushroom gazebo now beneath her hoof had not caught her attention.

Paladin stopped when he realized that Majesty was no longer following and turned around. His little mole companion, Quartz, looked out from over Paladin’s shoulder to see what was going on.

Majesty carefully moved her hoof, making sure not to hit any of the angry pixies flying around her legs. Her slime companion looked over the little mushroom, then looked up at Majesty as if to say it was a lost cause to try and save.

“I’m so sorry. I hope no one was hurt?” she asked the pixies.

One flew right up to her face and glared, but then shook his head. No one had been hurt.

“Everything alright?” Paladin asked as he came back to join them.

“I believe I heard the word gazebo. Turns out the mushroom I stepped on was converted into a gazebo and I accidentally destroyed it. Sadly my slime seems to think it can’t be fixed.

“Well, that sucks.”

Majesty just shot the stallion a look.

“Let’s find another, similar looking mushroom and help them out,” she hissed at him.

Paladin looked startled but did not hesitate to obey the mare.

Even Quartz got down from Paladin’s back and began to sniff around. Quartz and the slime worked together to find the best of mushrooms while Majesty and Paladin looked elsewhere. Quartz would sniff the mushrooms out, and the slime would check the quality. While the two Coursers did not have much luck, the two companions eventually found the perfect mushroom and waved down the attention of Majesty.

“Did you two find something?”

The slime pointed out the mushroom and even slid around it, making motions with stubby appendages as if to tell her all about the features of the little mushroom. Pointed at the cap to indicate the colors, held the little stubby hands in a way to indicate the height was right, then made a motion to indicate the width. 

“Okay, okay,” Majesty laughed, “You sold me on the mushroom. Now to hope the pixies agree.”

Quartz dug around it so they could carefully move the mushroom to its new home. Majesty removed the old mushroom and then carefully moved the new one from its original spot, which had not been ideal, dark and cold. The gazebo placement had been perfect with the lighting and view. It unfortunately had just been along the unbeaten path that Paladin had chosen to follow.

“Alright, new mushroom planted. Now… how to turn it into a gazebo.”

The pixies waved at her, saying she had done enough. They seemed pleased with the new mushroom and quickly got to work. The two coursers, the mole, and the slime all watched their craftsmanship in action as the mushroom soon turned into a new gazebo. Between the whole family it did not take them quite as long as the coursers had thought it would take them.

“I must say, your craftsmanship is impeccable!” Majesty said.

The pixies seemed very happy to receive a compliment, forgetting all about the fact that their old gazebo had been stepped on. Carefully the Coursers rose from where they had been watching and began to make their way away. Majesty paused and thought for a moment before hurrying back. On a stone near the gazebo she used another stone to scratch an arrow into it pointing at the gazebo. Hopefully anyone who passed after them would not make the same mistake they did.

“Hurry up!” Paladin called, getting impatient.
“Okay, okay!” Majesty called back, hurrying to catch up while being careful not to damage the new gazebo or hurt any pixies.
