Delving further and further away from the surface, and away from well travelled, torch-lit tunnels, Arachne as finally tredding along the unbeaten path...and into the dark. Ever prepared, she had produced a torch of her own, striking the tip against a starter to have it light. It did well to light up her immediate area...and reveal a few of the denizens within the cavern she'd come to a stop in. Shade Bats. She was familiar with the little ones, their bahviour akin to mischievious and fun loving, but they were also bloodsuckers as well as invertibrate eaters.

The whole trek through the large opening had attracted a few of them, the light drawing their attention to the walking bloodbag that had wandered into their communal cave. Arachne wasn't having any of their shenanigans though, shooing them away with a twitch of her hide or a toss of her head. She snorted, eyes hooded in annoyance. "Buzz off, alright?" She snapped, the fire of her touch blazing a trail as she whirled to face two of the more persistent ones. Large, dark eyes with yellow sclera, their faces a constrasting white, and their muzzles a blood-red. As they skittered just out of reach, Arachne noticed little white stripes on their tails and wing tips - She wondered if they had a purpose, like coordinated flying in dimlight?
