The depths of the dungeon are dark, eerie, filled with shadows and holding tight to their mysteries. Andrej would pry them free. Wrench and tear, rip and shred, until there was nothing left. No stone left unturned. It would be worth it. He would make it worth it. Demanding nothing less than perfection, and nothing less than answers. Stony shackles held the information he sought. There would be nothing to keep him from leveling it, when the time came. Stone by stone, brick by brick. Revenge fantasies ran hot in Andrej's head, especially as he descended into the dark dungeon beneath.

"Pozor, Khors." The instruction to the bird is simple, direct. Keep watch. He had better night vision than Andrej, and he'd rely on the creature to be his eyes for distance. Oppressive, inky darkness beginning to sweep in, cutting his distance down dramatically. It wouldn't be long before it was too much to see even the ground before him. They'd taken a darker path than usual today. Still, it's nothing to slow down over. Not yet. Confidence in his stride, one foot in front of another. Focusing in on his other senses, sight isn't the only thing that will help him down here.

With only the sound of his hooves on the mossy floor, and the signature musty smell of the dungeon, Andrej is confident there's no danger. Not here, not yet. Khors remained quiet, only the near-silent flap of wings as he gracefully took control from the air. A few more quiet moments before the bird let go a quiet sound, alerting Andrej to something. With a flap of his wings, the sound grew fainter for a moment. Then, the tap of a beak against wood. "Good man," wry smile crossing his lips. The hawk located a door, something worth exploring.

Rummaging in his bag for only a moment, Andrej finds what he seeks. A jar of fireflies, setting one free. The light was somewhat supernatural and certainly unsettling, but it's enough to light the weathered door where it hung haphazardly on a rusted hinge. One swift blow from his hoof is enough to crack the already crumbling lower hardware, and one more for the top. Easily, the door caved backward. Andrej threw his shoulder into it, watching the door fall away. The room before him is just as dark, if not more supernaturally so, than the hall.

"Revir." Another direction for his companion, Khors taking a moment to snatch the firefly out of the air and gobble it down before taking to searching within the room. Andrej let go a heavy sigh... maybe he'd need a better system for low light, if lightning bugs were so tasty. Whatever, it's good enough payment for a job well done. Setting the jar of fireflies down, using their light like a lantern, he rummages deeper within his pack. Fashioning a haphazard torch from the supplies he carried to build a fire, it would be enough to do a thorough search of the room and probably carry him a bit further when they're done. That, and a torch doesn't resemble a snack to a hungry hawk.
