A mimic about the size of a jewelry box suddenly hopped out of Nathaniel's pack. Then it grew insize sand opened it's cavernous mouth revealig rows of shrap teeth. Then a black mist poured out of the hungry chet and the room was suddenly filled with Shadowy humanoid creatures, over a dozen and each was wielding a sharp looking Scythe.

Solomon was so shocked he almost staggered and fell to the ground.

"I told you, I am a deity and yet you still threaten me. Talk to me very nicely and I might consider letting you out of here alive," Nathaniel told him in a slightly disembodied voice.

Just incase Solomon was inclined to think it was an illusion, one of the shadows sliced an empty bookshelf in half. And then when it touched one of the wooden pieces it hcked off, it disintegrated in black dust.

Goud was stunned. He had never been in the presence of such undiluted and completely oppressive power.

It had truly scared Solomon too because the foal shifted into a full grown courser with the same general look and bowed his head as if surrendering.

"You barely can summon a couple skeletons and you dare to oppose me?!" Nathaniel asked him.

"I apologize," Solomon said. He sounded utterly defeated.

"I will deliver you to the door of the Wolf, surely you have read of him?"

"So.. hes real?!" Solomon asked in shock, "I thought .. but then you are.."

Solomon was at a lost of words.

"Indeed. This is a courtesy to you that you do not deserve; for playing with me and my people, death is your correct punishment. I implore you to not attempt any games with the Wolf," Nathaniel warned him.

Just then Goud noticed movement outside of the window. It was the spectral courser from before, riding past the window with it's rider.

"Are you responsible for the ghost?" Nathaniel asked.

"Yes and no. I think that ghost is related to this library I found... I cast a ward to keep it out and it's been raging at me ever since," Solomon admitted.

"I see. Then these books are not your own and are to be left here."

"But -.." Solomon started to whine but seeing Nathaniel's still angry red eyes he shut up.

"You have no idea how lucky you are to be still alive," Nathaniel told him. He recalled his shadow minions and looked around the room again.

"The owner is obviously still very much alive, I actually think that it has nothing to do with the ghost outside. This room is probably connected to another place and has shifted here..."

"You're right.. it goes missing sometimes, but nothing in it seems to change to I didn't think.." Solomon trailed off, hanging his head again.

Goud tutted. Regardless of if he was an actual foal it was obvious that Solomon was very young. He was perhaps no doubt a magical savant but his mental capacity had not caught up.

"Let's go and you will apologize to Vynak and Ravin for you deception," Nathaniel told him.

"You're making me apologize but I bet Ravin doesn't know you're a demon lord or whatever and you are always smoozling him," Solomon grumbled.

Goud held back a laugh.

Yes.. very much a child still.

"You worry more about yourself, and less about me," Nathaniel reprimanded him, "Now come on."

Solomon sighed and headed out of the room, giving it anther regretful look as he went.

Just as they crossed the threshold, the room shimmered and disappeared...
