"Is this your way of courting me to be your priest again?" Amir asked him having none of the reverence one would expect when facing a diety.

"No, I am actually asking you to partner with my daughter, Goddess of the Forest Melodia. You two can strengthen each other and take a worry off this old man's heart," Eden said, speaking into his mind.

"Does she know that you're doing this?" Amir asked.

When he asked this a tree sprung up out of a nearby rock. It was large and the branches were almost scrapping the roof of the cavern. Also although there was no wind, the branches were swaying and the abundant fruit on the tree was giving off an enticing sweet scent. There was an owl sitting on one of the branches and it flew over and perched on the crown.

"I am aware and eager to have you," the owl said, "If you accept this crown, this owl will also be your companion. You will be invincible and your wards will be impregnable."

Perhaps a normal person faced with all of this would be overwhelmed but Amir was directly descended from the God of Water Senir - as a Demi-God such things were normal to him.

"Are you in good standing with Senir?" Amir asked Melodia's presence.

"I got his permission first of course. The heavens and the hells knows how he guards you," Melodia explained.

Free now to make a decision of his own, Amir relaxed a bit and then added thoughtfully, "And what about you Eden what are you getting out of this?"

"My future wife and my children getting along is of course a goal of mine."

The owl hooted in what almost sounded like embarrassed laughter and Amir agreed with it.

Eden was nothing if he was not bold!
