“Starflower…” 

The silver mare spun around, frowning. “Um… hi?” She squinted into the darkness, ears swiveling this way and that. “If you’re there, I can’t see you.” She giggled. 

Her fluffy cat pressed against her legs, crystal collar scraping against Starflower’s knees. “Was that you Princess? Can you, like, talk? This whole time?” Princess glanced up at her companion, head tilted curiously. “Hm, mayne not.” 

“Starflower…” 

The mare groaned, stomping a shining hoof against the cavern floors. “This is so, like, annoying! If you don’t want to talk, then whatever!” 

She continued through the chamber, ducking beneath ivy curtains, Princess trotting at her heels. This was her third time venturing into the dungeons, and so far, she had no idea why her dad was so adamant about keeping her far away from them. This adventuring stuff was sooo easy!

“Turn back…” 

“Ugh…” She rolled her eyes. “I’m not taking orders from anyone who is too scared to even talk to me face to face!” Tail swishing indignantly, Starflower broke into a trot, eager to escape the creep hiding in the shadows. 

“No, wait..” 

The voice sounded put off, upset that the young mare cared little for what it was saying. She rolled her eyes again, groaning. Eventually, the voice ceased entirely and the Courser and her cat continued deeper into the tunnels.
