The twins, Wyvern and Wyrm had agreed to help Ochs through a particularly difficult part of the Earthen Furnace. The twins weren't Ochs's first choice but they were the ones available. For the most part the two were chattering with each other about nothing in particular as they led the way through the tunnels. Once or two the twins would split up and Ochs would be left wondering which way they should go before one of them would start giggling and saying "Come on, this way!"

This time the three of them stood in a tri-way fork in the road. A tunnel left, right and center. Wyvern took left, Wyrm took right and both disappeared in a matter of seconds, it did not matter which way Ochs peered down they had just seemed to vanish in the darkness. "How peculiar," Ochs huffed and waited anxiously for one of the twins to return.

Minutes passed, and there was still no sight or sound of them in either direction. "Maybe I am supposed to investigate too?" It was unclear but Ochs was feeling antsy standing around in one place so they took a few steps down the center path. Darkness enveloped them quickly, even the lamp that was wrapped around their hip was snuffed out. "Oh... that's no good," Ochs whispered to themselves when suddenly there was a light, a flame in the darkness. A strange Courser that wore robes and had a flaming head. The courser did not seem phased by its fiery predicament as it inched its way closer to Ochs. A small imp resting on the Courser's shoulder held a hand out to Ochs looking at them expectantly. "I don't know what you want," Ochs took a step back but the courser came closer. "Leave me alone!" Ochs didn't understand why it was on fire, or why the imp was holding it's hand out to them but they certainly weren't going to find out. They quickly turned around and dashed back where they came from. As they left the tunnel they heard the sound of the twins giggling among themselves.

"Whoa! You look like you've seen a ghost." Wyvern said.

"Yeah! Did you?" Wyrm added.

"Don't know, don't want to know we gotta get out of here." Ochs took off not daring to look back.
