They were finally on their way again, and Onir was leading the way while the Hassir and Everard talked and followed behind.

"Have you found property to buy yet?" Everard asked.

"The two mansions you pointed out are quite good but the farmstead was already purchased, so I settled for the estate by the two rivers. I also managed to buy a bit more of the surrounding land that advertised because as we were doing the deal, the owner came into list the plots for sale so now I own that section all the way down to sea at " Hassir explained.

"The farmstead selling must be very recent!" Everard commented.

Hassir nodded.

"I will stay on the ship of a bit longer though, and let the others go ahead of me and set up the space to my liking."

Everard knew Hassir preferred the sea and once he got a dock built he would probably stay on board the ship, while his wives and future children lived in the estate. For this reason it was a boon from God that the sea-side land sale has come up.

They were crossing over some hardened magma but it suddenly started shift a bit. Then just in front of Onir it burst and a long serpentine fire creature leap out and then splashed into a nearby pool of magma.

"Oh my!" Onir exclaimed.

The two of them quickened their pace to close the distance.

"Are you alright?" Hassir asked his wife sounding worried.

"I'm fine," Onir said, he looked a bit shaken but not too much so. He looked around at the still bubbling pool and added, "I wonder if it is real or a magical illusion?"

Everard was unsure but he saw more solid ground not too far away so he headed their and Hassir and Onir followed.

Onir insisted on watching to see if the creature would come back again, so Everard and Hassir once again stood to the side and waited.
