“Haha, noo thank you!”

A small bickering could be heard from the center of the town. Deerling sighed, worrying about her stock not getting bought, but that was nothing. Every shop has its ups and downs… well. Maybe not Cupid’s shop and merchant guild… 

Because Cupid is today's center character. 

Cupid was walking from Deerling’s shop to their own, with some calming herbs and something to eat for them. They walked over to their own shop, opening the doors and entering the shop. They sat inside, huffed and puffed, relaxing after a while. They lit the scented candle, letting it sit for a while to let the scent flow. 

Suddenly, a bell rang, the door opened.

“I am closed, dear. Please, it is early morning, I cannot work with your broken heart yet.”

But the intruder didn’t bother to leave. Cupid looked up from their own things, gazing upon Puck Courser. Their palomino coat shining in the light of a lit candle. 

Cupid pressed their lips together.

“What d’ya want, dear?”

“I need your help. In the dungeons.”

“Mine?? But what can I give you? I can’t fix the heart of an adventurer that got no loot, only seeds of plants…”

“But you’re a mystic, no?” 

Cupid narrowed their brows, looking at the light Courser. A little huff escaped their mouth when they sat up and then got up. They went close to the stranger. Huh…

“Guess I am… alright, but it will cost ya~.”

Puck then threw a bag of coins on Cupid’s table. Nodded a bit, like asking if this is enough. Cupid looked and examined the bag of coins and later smiled widely.

“Lovely. What is your name, dear benefactor?”

“Robin.”

“Pleasure to meet you. My name is Cupid and our work will be just a pleasure!”

After some time adventuring, Robin and Cupid stopped. Robin was exploring the corridors and Cupid was… bored. They were not built for exploring the dungeons and they did not understand why Robin wanted them here. But they paid, handsomely at that, and well. That was a cutie. 

Because Cupid was not focused on where they placed their hooves, they tripped over a wire and triggered a trap. Suddenly, a burst of fire erupted from the floor. Cupid gasped and reared up, escaping the trap and backing up. They ran into Robin.

“Benefactor, we should go the other way. Let’s go.”

“No wait no, I didn’t explore everything-...”
