[DD2] The Tales of the Empty Grave 16

Chaos realized after he bid goodbye to the friendly giant that this passageway lead him into the Earthen Furnace.

Oh dear now I am even farther away from home that before, he lamented.

He bravely continued on though because he decided that going back to the giant to admit he didn't want to go this way would be a bit embarrassing. As he continued on he lamented his misfortune, and complained to his captive audience of companions about the increasing heat.

"I really don't deserve all of this... I was just a little bored but now I am being slow cooked!" Chaos muttered, "And what is there interesting to find in this place anyway? No bones, no herbs!! Just dust, and metal and lava!"

As he rounded a corner he suddenly heard loud and obnoxious barking. Soon he set eyes on the culprits which was a pack of unruly hellhounds.

Chaos was already in a terrible mood and now faced with the pack of fiery hounds, it finally hit rock bottom.

"Stay here Samuel, Moth and Slime, don't come any closer," he commanded.

Then without questioning why the moth and slime actually understood him enough to obey, Chaos stepped forward and called forth an ice spell. It was randomly aimed, which was a downside of his magic type but that was not an issue. It exploded and ice shards rained down on the hell hounds, filling them instantly. Their corpses then turned to ice and shattered.

Chaos was in a much better mood after that, he was still lost, but at least he had vented some of his ire.
