Aldric was the next person drawn to go off on a campaign with Edos and the majority of the strike team. He was a very intense personality who had joined the second recruit team a couple weeks late but still managed to catch up and surpass everyone in his team.

He was right behind Erin in terms of overall scores and it was a running theory that if he had started at the same time as everyone else that he would have been number one.

Aldric was not from Lumia, he had crossed the ocean on a passenger vessel from Zaloria, which was the largest county on the Musil continent. He came from a family of hunters but he longed for adventure.

When he landed in Windrise, he saw the old flyer about recruitments and though the deadline had past he still applied.

Today was finally his chance to get up and close to his idol, and his crush, General Edos. He was telling himself to play it as cool as possible and so far it was going pretty well.

They were half way down the incline of a steep passage in the northern dungeons which were known for being more difficult.

"Last time we were here we stumbled upon a necromancer," Samantha told him.

"Flynn hated it, it was scary."

"I don't think we are in that area now," Edos said.

Aldric was following behind Edos, and then Samantha and Flynn were following him in turn. He knew this was considered to be the safest position in the party but he was just glad that it allowed him to be near edos.

The courser was magnificent in everyway. Aldric truly liked everything about him. He had learned much about Edos over the last month or so, not all of it was considered to be flattering but he was cheered up by it anyway. Edos was known to be a great lover, having many varied partners, mostly temprorary.

He was obviously gone for Kamphire, who was not enlisted by lived in the Wolf Thorn Acres but just this morning Aldric had seen a very pretty green courser leaving Edos' hut when he was on patrol. He had averted his eyes as soon as he realized what he was seeing but it gave him a bit of courage...

There might be some room for him in Edos' life.

"You don't seemed worried about the necromancers," Edos commented, jolting Aldric who mind was in another direction.

"Hopefully we don't have to deal with them," Aldric said thoughtfully, "But if we do, then so be it."

"There really is no dealing with them at this stage," Samantha corrected him, "All we can do is run and hope they don't catch us."

Aldric was surprised by that. The strike team was undoubtedly very strong... then he reasoned that they might be running because they had a recruit with them, namely himself.

The canine comapnions, Diego, Isiah and his own hound Bry were running ahead of Edos. They stopped which was the first indication that they had reached some sort of dead end.

"There is a door here," Edos reported.

Flynn went forward naturally to take a look and after a bit of fiddling he managed to get it open.

Inside was a very dusty room, with a pedastal in the middle.

"Not this fucking place again!" Samantha cried out, "I can still remember how it felt to be dropped by the hands."

"Perhaps it is not the same exact place?" Aldric suggested.

"In case it is, this is the strategy. Aldric and Samantha you use your ranged weapons to destroy the pedestal," Edos said.

"That seems like it will take a long time..." Samantha replied.

"I will damage it and then keep one of the hands occupied while Flynn distracts the other."

"Flynn can do it!" Flynn replied, "I won't let it grab me!"

Aldric nodded to show he understood his roll.

The hounds and wolf were set outside, while Flynn's kept them company.

Aldric set up his crossbow and waited from Edos' signal. Though he had heard it was a case of 'Giant Hands' he still couldn't believe it when Spectral hands shot out of the ground and tried to grab the two coursers in the room.

This is crazy, he thought, but also very exciting!! This is what I live for! I am the right place.

Edos hit the pedestal squarely with his pitchfork, leaving a large crack in it. Aldric and Samantha took him darting out of the way as their cue and started to fire!!
