When Quill got them all outside, everyone was very quiet.

"I'm sorry about that," Benedict was the first to speak, "I think it shows you what your heart desires... it's a compelling picture."

"Yea. It showed me my ideal life," Phaze shared.

Quillerian found this to be fascinating, given that he had not seen anything at all in the mirror. Did that mean that he had no life ideal or was it indicating that he was already living it? That was something he would have to pursue some other time, though if he had to hazard a guess, it was more likely that the magic was unable to pierce the protection barrier that his psychic energy created around his mind.

He was also more interested in finding out what had kept his apprentice Benedict spellbond.

"We'll discuss what you saw in the mirror later," Quill said to Benedict who look retreated and shy at the prospect. This only served to make Quill more curious.

"I found another path we can take, "Ruin said, "It is a bit of a squeeze and it leads to another strange room."

"This place overall is quite dangerous," Phaze lament, "Though Quill, since you're not affected by the mirror, you should go in and take a look around to see if you see any treasure."

Quill agreed with his proposal and went back into the room and did a search. He found a false wall after a bit of effort and retrieved some jewelry and metal medallions. He showed them to the others when he came back and they were pleased then he added them to the packs that the skeleton was carrying.

"Good, now we can go on from here with no regrets," Benedict said.

They followed Ruin into another grand hall. There was another statue here, one of a courser and it had a two-legged rider.

"It has one of those devices like in the jail in it's mouth," Ruin pointed out, "Look at it's expression. I just knew they were torture devices."

Phaze teleported up close and then in the next minute had to scamper away as a blast of pure flame shot out mouth of the courser!

"Damn! I know it is in a bad mood but why take it out on me?" Phaze wondered when he reappeared a good distance away.

The statue let out a larger sweeping blast this time, still aiming at Phaze and he had to teleport again and again.

"Find the way out of here while Phaze keeps it occupied," Quill ordered and the other two coursers, Benedict and Ruin let into action.

Ruin in particular had the slower moving skeletal servant following him so he stuck to the far corner of the room where the blast could not reach.

Quill was searching in the most dangerous section, and had to be conscious to dodge the blast as well. Even a glancing shot would probably do a lot of damage at such a high temperature.

"I found it!" Benedict called out just when Quill was thinking there might not be a way out.

They all maneuvered over to Benedict's position and slipped out of the room.

They were finally able to relax again. The corridor they were in was non descript and had a few exits.

"I need a rest after all that teleportation in such a short period of time," Phaze announced.

"This area seems as safe as any," Ruin commented, "Let's take a break here."

They all looked to Quill for confirmation and he nodded to show his agreement.
