It was nothing new that Aodh was quick to fall for Anyż, but really there was better Coursers. He was just a ballast for them, wanting to explore the dungeons. Mikołaj sighed.

Aurum, on the other hand, knew where they were going. He wanted to test his pupil, if he's even worth working with him at this point. He was learning, yes, but made no real progress. The Lab had strict rules, and one of the strict rules was to get rid of the old Courser they were, forget themselves in the name of science. And to have new name. Did you really thought that Aurum name was Aurum? The translation of gold in Latin? Well, no. But also, he already forget his old birthname. And he wanted the same for Mikołaj, to forget his old name and born anew. And this was a trial.

Aodh screamed, as one of the spectral hands grabbed their mane, pulling it down. One of the hands was holding down Leucis, grabbing also Sneakersee by the throat. Another set of hands was pulling 1.01. into the dust, and holding Aurum so he couldn't rescue his experiment. The only free courser was Mikołaj.

What could he do in this situation? He looked around, and saw at the top of the pedestal a little bulge. Was it a button, or a lever? 

He climbed up, scrating his legs and body, and with the help of Seraphina, he managed to climb up. What he saw up there was not a button, but a hurt, almost dying Pygmy Drake.
