[DD1] The Tales of the Empty Grave 0005

Chaos found himself in front of what looked like a very steep incline, the next cavern exit was even further above that and would require him to put in some physical effort.

Chaos sighed.

Now if Phaze was here, he could just pop up there and let me know if it was worth the trouble.

Chaos was not sure if he wanted to try this, especially when there was no guarantee of finding anything good up there. He also lamented that he had not brought more skeletal servants with him, Samuel was busy with the very important job of carrying his slime buddy and he wasn't free to try out this slope.

After thinking about it for a while, Chaos decided he would try the initial slope at least and then if he didn't like it, or got tired at that point that coming back down would be an easier trip.

"Stay here Samuel," he directed the skeleton and then said to the slime, "I'll be right back slime, don't hop off."

After a few minutes he found that as usual he underestimated the effectiveness of Jordan's hellish training. He easily climbed up the side. When he reached the top of the incline, it suddenly shifted!

To his horror, he realized he had managed to stumble upon a rare stone giant.

It opened its mouth as if you talk to him, but Chaos had already turned around and galloped at full speed back down.

"Hey courser!" he heard a gravelly voice boom around the room.

"Retreat!" Chaos commanded and he and Samuel left this area of the cavern post haste.
