Quillerian was leading this team through a new section of the dungeons that had recently opened up in their area of influence. Benedict and Ruin where behind him in turn with Phaze brining up the rear. It was an exploratory mapping trip so they had packed light and each had only brough one of their skeletal pets with them, though each pet was safely stored in a special magical container while they were in transit so that their speed was not hindered by the shuffling gate of the undead servants.

"This area seems to be older than the other one that appeared recently," Benedict commented thoughtfully, "I am uncertain about the time period however."

"The traps here must still be all untriggered," Ruin commented, "Be careful."

Just as he said that there was an ominous click. The walls on either side of them shook ominously as if they were about to move.

"You called it ruin!" Phaze said and then he shook his head.

"Follow my lead!" Quill demanded and he stopped his forward motion suddenly and moved in an entirely different direction.

It was small crack in the wall, which they were just managed to pass through. It was an extremely close call and they were only able to avoid it because of their keen senses. That being said, they had not managed to reach the room at the other end of the corridor that necessitated such an extreme trap.

There was some lament about that in the air and Benedict was the first to verbalize it.

"I feel if we were to brave this trap that there would be treasure on the other side," Benedict said.

"That may be the case but we are ill-equipped for such things at this time," Ruin reminded him.

Benedict acknowledged that this was the case and paid attention to the footing.

The corridor they switched too with narrower and dimly light. Quill cast a light spell without pausing to help them navigate.

"Perhaps when the others are present we can attempt to take that path," Phaze noted, "I am sure that it would be no match for the top five."

"we all have our strengths," Ruin said in a very dry tone, "We are here just to scout ahead and take note of whatever dangers their might be, not to find treasure per say."

"If we do find treasure though, Ransom would be very happy and maybe I could spend the night in his tent again," Phaze commented.

They all rolled their eyes at that, know he couldn't see to be offended. However he still seemed to sense it.

"I know you all are rolling your eyes at me, and I also do not care!" Phaze stated.

There was no response to that and Phaze humped.

When they reached the end of this passage way they spilled out into a larger room. They paused to reassess the situation and decide which direction to take next.
