The next room was quite large and it was filled with strange statues. The heat here was noticeable higher than the rooms they had been in before. Nathaniel made a note of the room.

While he that, the foal wandered ahead and disappeared around the corner.

"I would like to come back here when we have more time and take more notes on these," Nathaniel told him, "I engaged a history and he is to build an archaeology team to thoroughly explore these dungeons and gather as much information as possible. I also want to encourage the donation of artifacts so that we can build a museum in Windrise, I believe it can increase out tourist appeal."

Ravin was struck for the first time with the political side of his newly minted partner. It was a bit dazzling.

"I think we should camp here for the night and you can take the marking you need," Ravin said.

"I don't mind!" Solomon told them.

So, the set up a camp here, and Nathaniel took his time making notes while Solomon and Ravin explored the area.

(A while later)

"Alright then we'll leave camp as soon as Solomon returned," Nathaniel said. The foal had wondered off again shortly after they ate.

Ravin was about to respond when he was interrupted by loud and ferocious barking.

"Is that his puppy?" Ravin asked but in the next moment he knew it wasn't, because there were even more barks.

Solomon came barreling around the corner with three fiery canine nipping at his heels.

"HELP ME!" Solomon cried.

But before either Nathaniel or Ravin could respond, there was a dark shadow that leapt out of the shade of one of the statues and started to tussle with he head hell hound.

He soon subdued it, and then all the rest ran off.

The shadow had the shape of a canine creature but it was also seemed to have no mass.

"Is that a shadow hound?" Nathaniel asked no one in particular.

Ravin was now learning that such a thing existed for the first time.

"This is my puppy!" Solomon said, and the strange shadowy creature seemed to be happily rubbing against the foals legs.

It really seems on brand for him to have a pet like this...Ravin thought to himself.

Nathaniel frowned watching the two of them.

"Well we've picked up your pet now, so-" Nathaniel started to say but then he paused and riffled in his pack. he took out a gold and red charm which was glowing with a dim light.

"What's that Mr. Nathaniel?" Solomon asked and he was echoing Ravin's own curiosity.

"It's charm that is attuned to Vynak," Nathaniel shared, "It seems that he has come to find you."

"Oh," Solomon murmured. And for the first time, he looked a bit contrite.

Well wonders never cease, the little one has a conscience after all.
