Research Log, Vol 7, Entry 2
The King's Royal Alchemic Research Log, Volume 7, Entry 2
I took a reprieve from my work to clean my instruments and gather ingredients. Alas, it seems that I've neglected a step in my cleaning protocol and damaged some of my oldest flasks, as even precise and well-known procedures are returning wildly unpredictable results. A shame; some of this glassware has been with me longer than either of my marriages.

EXPERIMENT THREE
Phenotype - Perlino Tabard Rabicano with Chimera, Ore, Vitiligo
Temperament - Choleric
Procedure - Off-protocol; tainted instruments
"THREE" should have been a standard perlino with golden eyes. Instead, the foal's coat is a blotchy mess of pigmentation. At first, I assumed that some sort of cross-contamination from the creation of "TWO" had caused this chimeric coat. But, as it has matured, it has slowly but surely lost pigment, leading me to believe that some of the cleaning ichor has fused to the bottle I store my livers in. These damaged livers often lead to such coat failures...
I take solace in the fact that this was a routine experiment and not one using any ingredients of value. It would have been a disaster had such an error tainted my heraldic samples...
Happy birthday to The Alchemist's third experiment.
