After trying out the other path to the north he found to his dismay that it was connected to the third one. There was either some secret exit he missed or .. well that is the thing he wasn't sure what the or was.

The charm was blinking with the same consistency which made Vynak believe that he was above Nathaniel's position which meant that for some reason, the prince and Ravin had ventured into the Earthen Cauldron. 

He knew Ravin was a high ranking member of the Wolf Thorn Militia and could definitely handle himself. It was just that he couldn't shake the feeling that this had something to do with the foal.

He sighed and considered his options.

I think the best thing I can do is go back and hire some help from either the Wolf Thorn or the White Hand... I am unfamiliar with the dungeons here and ill-equipped to go on alone. 

It was painful to think of having to withdraw and come back, wasting precious time but he also knew that it was even more silly to squander time going in circles. He headed back to the room with the remains of the plant and tried to figure out which way their party had taken just in case it was easier than the one he used initially. 

He consoled himself that this was the most sensible plan even though it didn't feel that great at the moment to admit defeat.
