[MEDIUM] The Garden - Edin , Kai , Asmoseus , Ahmeira
Edin x Kai
Edin and his brother wanted to see what these new coursers could do down in the depths below the earth, so they agreed to go on an adventure with them and to make sure that they stayed safe and out of harm's way for the most part. They started walking down into the depths of the wet and damp dungeon as the darkness enveloped them and kai went ahead and used his light spell to light the way, with the shadows dancing in the darkness and they could see sparkles glistening of the rocks with water droplets all over them. “Do yall think we will find any treasure this run? I hope we do!” the golden courser happily swayed as he walked and Seigmyer was in his holster with his googly eyes shaking all around randomly. “Well I'm not sure, but I definitely hope we find something new!” The light brown course with sparkles all along his back smiled and was happy with the excitement as well as he found it never to get old to go down into the dungeons in search of new things. “I am curious however about that creature that you have with you, it appears to be a mimic yet, it has googly eyes and I can sense a lot of wisdom coming from it” the courser squinted as to get a better look at the golden trimmed chest that was next to kai. “Well, I was given him as a reward from someone and I’ve had him ever since! He helps with all my equipment and supplies, but I’m not sure about the wisdom part” he leans back and looks at seigmyer his googly eyes still just bouncing around randomly, as the courser wasn’t sure about what Edin had said.
Asmodeus x Ahmeira
A pair of dark, bi-colored hues stared grimly at what was ahead, the gentle flames from the torches along the cavern walls flickered in the reflection of the stallion’s hardened gaze as his irises slowly moved to the corner of his eye, catching a glimpse of the group that he was strongarmed into adventuring with. It was hard for this face not to twist with disgust, for the pair that accompanied him and his brother weren't worthy to be standing in the same room as them, let alone breathe the same air.
Edin, though a decorated and accomplished dungeoneer with great skill, was still a fool down to his core. These newer generations of coursers couldn't hope to offer the same potential as the ones who came before them - so lax in their thinking that they would convince themselves that they were able conquer the dungeon as any other. A small few, if that, when given the benefit of the doubt, maybe there would be an exception or two. However, only a certain few were destined for greatness, and these two anchors Edin brought along would be nothing more than dead weight. He should have left the babysitting to Crispin rather than wasting his breath on these coursers.
The guild leader’s hooves fell in place with each well-trodden print left behind from both himself and those who came after him, feeling a trickle of nostalgia as the depths of the dungeons once again swallowed him whole. For a moment, there was a hint of bliss before that small, fleeting wink of euphoria came to a tragic end after hearing one of the corpses behind him piped up, reminding him instantly of his brother’s idiocy yet again. “Hmph. You’ll be lucky to survive this venture - that alone should be your treasure.” ‘Corpse,’ he almost added, but kept that thought to himself as his brother began to chime in the conversation.
Ahmeira didn't say much at all as she followed after the group, simply ruminating and stewing in her anger as the cold, stone walls began to close in around her and the party she traveled with. Her eyes were sharp and her ears were keenly listening for any threats that may crop up, as she always did, without fail.
Soon enough, the corridor sloped downward and Asmodeus began his descent, noting the path becoming steeper the further down they went. His movements were calculated, keeping himself steady with a deftness that could challenge any heraldic’s ease of grasping of the terrain as the ground slowly began to level, opening up into a rather expansive room filled with vibrant plantlife. Most would be entranced by the beauty of the garden that surrounded them, but the dark stallion could feel the dynamic shift in the atmosphere as soon as they entered, as well as notice the startling amount of pollen within this place.
“We should leave, we don't belong here.” Ahmeira’s cold, unfriendly voice cut through the tension, stealing the words right from Asmodeus’ mouth. For a moment, the leader’s eyes glinted with certain interest, as the female’s demeanor seemed so similar to another he had encountered before, but there was no time to reminisce as a shape began forming itself out of the flora and fauna nearby. “Quick, there’s an exit to the northeast. You three run up ahead, I’ll cover everyone.”
Ahmeira was the first to dash toward the exit, and she could only hope the others were close behind as they raced to leave the room.
You find yourself in a vast subterranean garden illuminated by bioluminescent plants. The ground is soft and springy, but the air is thick with pollen. As you admire the strange and beautiful flora, you stumble upon a shrub growing in a shape remarkably similar to your own. You quickly realize that Coursers who have come this way before have become part of the overgrowth.
