After resting Vynak was faced with three exits.

Unfortunately the charm he had was responding the same way to each direction, so he would have try each of them out to be sure which was the correct one, even if it meant getting half way down a long tunnel and having to turn back.

He ate a ration while he tried to decide which way to go.

Finally he settled on the eastern path.

It wasn't long before he was sure this was the wrong way. Not because of the charm but because of the inhabitant of the cavern before him.

He was in a large cavern with a deep pool of water which was being fed by a noisy waterfall. More importantly though, it housed the largest toad he ever seen before. It large enough to swallow him and perhaps another few coursers his size whole as well.

He was already retreating carefully when the creature opened up its bulging eyes and started directly at him

It went from bad to worse when its mouth opened and it spoke intelligible words.

"WHO ARE YOU!" it croaked.

Its breath was like a biological weapon to someone like Vynak who had a very sensitive nose. In his opinion it was bad enough that the creature was large enough to be a threat, it having enough intelligence to speak made it even more dangerous. Without hesitating a moment longer, he dashed out of the room.

He heard it croaking in anger but since the passage way he had gone through was definitely too small for it to fit his racing heart was able to calm down as soon as he was a few meters away.

When he reached the room he had rested in earlier, he took some time to drink some water and he made a note on his map of the relative position of the chamber. That was one room of he dungeon that he sincerely hoped he would never see again.
