[MEDIUM] an unfamiliar reflection

Remy shook off the last of the glowing goo that clung to her hoof as the part trotted away from the chamber, narrowly escaping the spectral hands’ grasps. Pancake had sliced at the hands that entrapped the Cavedweller with his knife, Pancake revealing an intense side to her that Remy hadn’t seen before.

However, his attention was drawn away when Urvasi and Parfait had tripped, no match for the onslaught of these spirits, more emerging from the second. In a desperate last attempt, Pancake had to leave Remy for the fruitless endeavor, making a gauntlet for the pedestal in the center, where the spirits had dissipated once Pancake had shoved his hoof onto a plate in the pedestal’s center.

With the whole party released and safe, they were now free to continue their adventure. Remy flicked an ear back, being able to sense a wider opening in the hallway they trekked.

“Hmm…” Hummed Strawberry Parfait as she peered into the opening of the oncoming chamber, spotting nothing within it. Pancake raised a brow, picking up her pace to be the first in the room. From his satchel, came a subtle growl from Miss Buttermilk.

“Oh,” He huffed with disappointment, his expression dimming as he spotted a mirror turned towards the wall. But before he could offer input on his reaction, Urvasi approached it with wonder.

“Now, Pancake! I know it’s not any treasure, but…” The starry Puck began with a smile, the bay Courser they spoke of beginning to defend herself–ignored as Urvasi continued to speak, turning over the mirror,”this could be…” They trailed off as he looked within the mirror, his eyes widening and smile shifting into a surprised ‘o.’

“Urvasi, get away from that thing!” Pancake spoke, Parfait trotting forward to get a look at what Urvasi had seen. The pink mare spoke in defense of the starry puck, perhaps as a devil's advocate, just to see what might come of the situation. The three began to debate on what the matter of the mirror was.

Remy stayed quiet, tilting her head to the side as she listened. Clearly, she had no leg in this race.

A Flask of Rage has been used on this piece
After hours spent breaking into what you’d assumed to be a treasure-filled chamber, your party finds a disappointingly empty room. Its sole furnishing is a tall standing mirror angled to face the wall. With some careful maneuvering, you are able to turn it and peer inside; reflected in its surface is the self you’ve always aspired to. What do you see?

Your party must make a Wisdom check to resist the mirror's enchantment and leave this place as you found it.”
