"If I ever so much as put one hoof into a puddle again, so help me, the ancient ones are gonna be wishing they'd died off sooner." Lollihops shook their head aggressively, their mane smacking wetly against their neck. Was it so much to ask for some simple peace? A day without falling into a puddle that was apparently three times deeper than they expected?

The universe certainly thought so.

They groans as they folded themself down to their knees, leaning forward to rest their head on the table in their home. "Wyvern, you won't make me go in anymore water, will you? You'll take pity on your good friend, Lollihops?"

Wyvern flicked an ear towards them, turning with the handle of a mug in their mouth. Once it was deposited in front of Lollihops—warmed apple juice, perfect for a chilly day—Wyvern gave them a bright smile.

"I can't promise that cause that would be a lie. It's not so bad, is it, Hops?" they asked.

Lollihops gave them a bitter, betrayed look and slumped further onto the table. No peace from the wet even in their own house. "I'm surrounded by animals. Don't… say anything to that."

Wyvern closed their mouth with a jaunty flick of their ears. Lollihops could still feel how they oozed amusement though.

Alas. The price of friendship. They had to put up with Wyvern's… everything… inside their house. Still, there were worse fates out there. This one wasn't so bad.
