"Stay close, Honorius, you'll be safe with me," Harpsichord glanced back to her foal, smiling softly as she continued, "we don't know what's up ahead just yet. It could be dangerous." Her expression fell into a steeled, serious gaze as the four coursers rounded the corner, past a once-elegant pillar, and into a room within the ruin. By the look of it, it was beautiful once. Filled with statues of human make, and... what appeared to have once been a garden, with beautiful paths.

Honorius initially stuck by his mother's side, but when they'd rounded the corner, he'd bounce forward, whinnying in delight. "Look, mama! It's so pretty!" The little puck exclaimed, a prance in his step; that is, until, the other Puck in their company, Daybreak, stepped in front of him, stopping him in his tracks.

"Hang on there, little guy. Your mama told y'to stay close, didn't she? Reskal 'n I still have to check it out, make sure it's safe." They'd turn him around, nudging him back to Harpsichord. "You two stay in back, alright? We'll be up front."

With a nod, Harpsichord guided her son to the back of the group, Daybreak and Reskal taking front as they made their way closer to the fountain that lay in the center of the once beautiful garden. Reskal gave a sigh of relief as he trot past Daybreak, lifting his head. "Finally, something to drink! I've been thirsty since the last two ruins we went through."

As the stallion approached the fountain, however, it appeared to be shimmering with light. He took no heed of the strange, otherworldly light, and bent his head to start drinking. But before his tongue could reach the water, it'd begin to swirl, frothing violently. Startled, he let out a shriek, skittering backwards and directly into Daybreak, who firmly stood their ground, helping him back up.

"Stay back!" Daybreak called to Harpsichord and her foal, using their body to block most of the pull.

Harpsichord gave an acknowledging nod, guarding Honorius from the quickly growing strength of the wind threatening to suck all four of them into the vortex. "Thanks, Reskal. I thought you were supposed to be keeping an eye out, not jumping head-first into things!" She'd snort sarcastically. Though her voice remained strong and un-frightened, her hooves betrayed just how terrified she was, shifting in place behind Daybreak and scraping at the ground.

"Sorry, Harp... I let my thirst get the better of me." Reskal wheezed out, breaths coming quick as he tried to calm himself down and keep his hooves where they were, hoping beyond hope that it was enough to keep him in place. He didn't want to find out what was on the other end of that fountain.
